Ghostly white apple trees

I reckon these pure-white painted apple tree trunks that I came across in a private kitchen garden in the Cote d'Armor in North Brittany look stunning! They dazzle in the sunshine and cast intriguing ghostly silhouettes under the moonlight. The trunks are painted by the ‘jardiner’ in early spring as an insecticide against the winter moth. Practical and beautiful!
